APT - Training & Education
The Aidacare Professional Training (APT) program aims to provide all health care providers, such as allied health clinicians, nurses, case managers, carers, medical professionals, etc with the most up-to-date, and relevant professional training.
The Aidacare Professional Training (APT) program is a rolling series of educational workshops conducted in all states. APT Workshops are conducted by our qualified staff (OT and Physio) and product specific experts.
APT attendees are given a certificate of attendance identifying the relevant contact hours for CPD hours thus maintaining their registration/accreditation.
Our topics have included (but not limited to) the speciality areas of:
- Posture & Positioning
- Power Wheelchairs
- Manual wheelchairs for adults
- Pressure Injury Prevention
- Mobility & Access For Independence

What is the APT program?
A. The Aidacare Professional Training (APT) program aims to provide all healthcare providers, such as Allied Health Clinicians, Nurses, CASE Managers, Carers, Medical Professionals etc with the most up-to-date, relevant and cost-effective professional training.

What are the benefits to you?
A. Learn from our highly skilled APT educators/presenters about the latest products and technology. Up-to-date references and resources provided to take with you for your practice and/or share with your colleagues. Certificate of Attendance with skill level acknowledged and the number of contact hours - crucial for your CPD activities and professional registration. Get to know our Aidacare Equipment experts and Clinicians who can assist with your Assistive Technology needs, ongoing education, implementation advice, and/or problem solving.

How much does it cost?
A. At Aidacare, we know it can be difficult to get time off work for professional training, as well as the funds to pay for that training. As such, we aim to run APT sessions at a small fee to attend for the healthcare professional.

Are there any training sessions in my area?
A. APT is a National Program so you can receive the best training nationally. Head to our education website for a full list of events. Simply select the time and location of the seminar you would like to attend and register online on our Aidacare Eventbrite page to secure your place.

How to register?
A. To register click here. You will see the list of the available courses with dates and locations. Simply select the seminar you'd like to attend and hit register. Please note that registration usually opens 2 months prior to the event. If your event is not open for registration, please visit the site later. Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with the event details. You can also subscribe to our mailing list to receive invites to APT events in your area.

What are CPD points?
A. CPD is an acronym for continuing professional development. Allied health professionals such as occupational therapists require 20 CPD hours, including 5 hours of interactive learning by 30th November each year to keep their accreditation valid. At Aidacare we offer training & education workshops/seminars that allow you to gain CPD points and a CPD certificate to provide as evidence of your continued development, for the most relevant information please contact your governing body.
