Aidacare Clinical Symposium Series
With the ever-growing number of those with disabilities being cared for in the home environment,
the carer is faced with many challenges that would have only been addressed in the Hospital and Aged Care sectors in the past. Care in the community can be a challenge, especially as users and caregivers get to grips with the NDIS.
Over the past month, Annette Curry and Yvonne Dallman of Aidacare, travelled to Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns to address theses challenges. Focussing on pressure care, manual handling, DVA and the NDIS, Annette and Yvonne worked with over 100 therapists considering best practice and equipment selection, as well as navigating the NDIS.
Feedback from therapists was such that these sessions will continue to roll out in 2019.
